Club Night with Mike and the Team

NHRA Drag Racer Mike Edwards has combined his love of racing and his faith in an exciting partnership to reach teenagers with a message of HOPE. Prior to each NHRA national event, Mike and his crew host urban youth groups and give them a first hand look at the thrilling sport of drag racing. Mike and his Young Life team members meet and greet the kids, explaining all aspects of Pro Stock racing. Since these pre race events typically are scheduled in the early evening, the team provides a meal for them. Later Mike shares his personal testimony and talks about the importance of the choices we make in life. Because these young people are so special to us, each visitor leaves the event with a specially designed Mike Edwards/Young Life T-shirt, autographed photo card, and are offered a Bible.

Edwards also gives Young Life clubs the opportunity to attend the races on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and watch the Young Life car in action.
